(FOSCO) – On the morning of August 23, 2025, the “Friendship Walk” took place in downtown Ho Chi Minh City to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam’s diplomatic service (1945–2025) and the 50th anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Foreign Affairs (1975–2025). This activity was part of Plan No. 30/KH-UBND dated August 5, 2025, of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, chaired by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Foreign Affairs in coordination with various agencies, including the Service Company to Foreign Missions (FOSCO).
The program attracted nearly 1,800 participants, including leaders of central and municipal agencies, representatives of consular offices, international organizations, non-governmental organizations, foreign business associations, and residents of Ho Chi Minh City. FOSCO mobilized the participation of its leaders, staff, and employees, while also encouraging partners and clients—both organizations and individuals from abroad—to take part, thereby affirming the Company’s role as a bridge for international connection. In addition, 20 FOSCO personnel were assigned to assist with guest reception and event organization as designated by the Organizing Committee.
The “Friendship Walk” was not only a community sports activity but also a symbol of people-to-people diplomacy, contributing to promoting the image of a dynamic, friendly, and deeply integrated Ho Chi Minh City. With its tradition of working closely with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 1979 and currently carrying out many foreign affairs tasks entrusted by both the Ministry and the City, FOSCO is proud to accompany the City in this meaningful event.
