On the morning of August 23, in front of the statue of President Ho Chi Minh in the compound of the Ho Chi Minh City Command, the Party Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee held a ceremony to offer flowers and incense to President Ho Chi Minh. The event was part of the 1st Congress of the Party Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee for the 2025–2030 term.
Attending the ceremony were the following comrades: Nguyen Van Duoc, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, and Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee; Nguyen Van Tho, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, and Standing Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee; Nguyen Loc Ha, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, and Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee; Nguyen Manh Cuong, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee; together with members of the Party Committee’s Standing Board and delegates attending the congress.
In front of the statue of President Ho Chi Minh, the delegates offered incense and fresh flowers to express their deep gratitude for his great merits and selfless devotion to the people and the nation.
President Ho Chi Minh devoted his entire life to the revolutionary cause of the Vietnamese people and of progressive people around the world. He was the founder, mentor, and leader of the Communist Party of Vietnam, guiding it to achieve glorious victories in the nation’s revolutionary struggle. He left behind an invaluable legacy — an era of national independence and freedom, of peace and prosperity for the people, and the socialist path for our country.
