On the 12th of March, 2017 Service Company to Foreign Missions FOSCO, in collaboration with HCMC Department of Foreign Affairs and HCMC Union of Friendship Organizations, successfully held the event “Diplomatic Ladies can cook – 2017” at Thao Dien Village, District 2.
The event had the honor to welcome Ambassador Nguyen Nguyet Nga, Senior Advisor of APEC 2017 National Secretariat, Spouse of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Pham Binh Minh. In her speech before the Prize Announcement Ceremony, she emphasized: “I highly appreciate the will and effort to organize this event by FOSCO, HCMC Department of Foreign Affairs and HCMC Union of Friendship Organisations. And I hope that this will be the start of many cultural exchange activities in the future, enhancing the friendship and cooperation among the people in HCMC and in the cities/provinces in the South of Vietnam with International friends.”
The event “Diplomatic Ladies can cook – 2017” indeed has created an opportunity for cultural exchange, for a better understanding and learning from each other between Foreign Missions in HCMC and Foreign Affairs Departments of the cities/provinces in the south of Vietnam. Besides, because this event was organized on the occasion of celebrating the International Women’s Day March 08, it was the chance for everyone to show their admiration to the Ladies who are working in the Diplomatic field, who are not only great at work but also wonderful at home. The event attracted a lot of attention and support from the Consular Corps and Foreign Affairs Departments/Offices, particularly those who joined as 19 cooking teams:
