On December 09, 2016, FOSCO delegation lead by Mr. Ngo Anh Tuan _ Chairman of FOSCO Board of Members came to join the celebration of the 83rd Birthday of His Majesty the Emperor of Japan (December 23, 1933 – December 23, 2016).
Welcoming guests at the celebration, Ms. Nana Kinemura _ a Japanese harpist _ played beautifully 6 lovely songs alternating from Japanese folk/traditional to world-famous ones. Then, Mr. Nakajima Satoshi _ Consul General of Japan to Ho Chi Minh City _ started the opening ceremony with an impressive dual-language speech in both Japanese and Vietnamese. In his speech, he emphasized the strong development in the relationship between Vietnam and Japan on many fields including economy, diplomatic relations, culture, sports, and tourism.
Attending and also giving a speech at the opening ceremony was Mr. Le Thanh Liem _ HCMC Permanent Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee who emphasized that in HCMC Japan is one of the most important strategic partners of Vietnam in the aspects of economy, trade, investment, providing ODA, culture, education, tourism, with specific projects such as the Saigon River Tunnel, Vo Van Kiet Avenue, Metro number 1 Ben Thanh – Suoi Tien. Besides, cultural activities like Vietnam-Japan festival, student exchange programs, etc also contributed to strengthening the good relationship between the two countries.
