(CĐ-FOSCO) – On September 27, 2025, the Trade Union of the Service Company to Foreign Missions (FOSCO) successfully organized the program “Return to the Roots – Rung Sac War Zone in Can Gio, a Heroic Anti-American Resistance Base.” This meaningful activity was held in celebration of the 43rd anniversary of the Traditional Day of Young Workers in Ho Chi Minh City (October 15, 1982 – October 15, 2025).
The program was attended by Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong Giang – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Director of the Company; Ms. Le Kim Tuyen – Specialized Member of the Board Member; Ms. Tong Thi Hong Nhung – Vice President of the Trade Union; along with more than 90 union members and their families. On the local side, the delegation was honored to be welcomed by Mr. Tran Tien Dat – Party Committee Member, Vice Chairman of the Commune’s Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, and Secretary of the Can Gio Commune Youth Union. The event also included 15 students in particularly difficult circumstances who received scholarships and 30 low-income households in Can Gio Commune who received aid packages.
In a respectful, warm, and meaningful atmosphere, the delegation offered incense at the Can Gio Martyrs Memorial, and visited Monkey Island, Hoa Ca Crocodile Swamp, the Mangrove Forest, and Rung Sac War Zone. These activities not only helped participants recall the nation’s heroic history and raise awareness about environmental conservation, but also offered relaxing moments of bonding and sharing among FOSCO staff and their families.
The “Return to the Roots” 2025 program reaffirmed the Vietnamese tradition of “remembering the source of the water we drink” (gratitude for the past), as well as FOSCO’s spirit of solidarity, compassion, and social responsibility. It also served as a valuable opportunity to foster unity and collective pride, strengthening the motivation and morale of all employees.
