FOSCO Leader attends the 69th Anniversary of the Republic Day of India (January 26, 1950 – 2018)

On the evening of January 29 at Sofitel in, Chairman of FOSCO Board of Members Ngo Anh Tuan came to attend the 69th Anniversary of the Republic Day of India organised by the Consulate General in HCMC.
In his Opening remarks, Dr. Srica Reddy, Consul General of the Republic of India in HCMC said that the relationship between Vietnam and India has been deepened and upgraded to the comprehensive strategic partnership, broadened on many different fields including trade, investment, science and technology, military and security. In 2017, Indian investment into Vietnam reached $756 million, ranking 27th among 110 countries and territories who invested in Vietnam. The bilateral trade between the two countries reached over $10 billion and is agreed to reach $15 billion in 2020.
Attending and giving a speech at the event, Mr. Huynh Cach Mang, Deputy Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee stated that: The traditional relationship between Vietnam and India has always been cultivated, now developed to the comprehensive strategic partnership on many aspects including people’s diplomacy… With this good friendship, cooperation between HCMC and India has been flourished. Speaking of investment in 2017, India had 80 projects in HCMC, accounting for $60 million investment capital in total; bilateral trade reached over $1 billion, increasing 10% compared to 2016. Deputy Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee Huynh Cach Mang believed that this comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and India will sustainably grow bigger and better.
