On Friday, December 15, 2017, FOSCO International School held their annual Christmas Concert. The theme this year was “Santa’s Christmas Time Machine”, with students giving performances from different decades as they went searching for Santa on his time machine sleigh! This year the concert was held at ‘home’ in the school campus grounds, and was very well attended by parents and friends. The grounds had been transformed with beautiful seasonal decorations, with some fantastic displays made by the students.
The school had the honor of the presence of Mr. Hồ Trọng Trí, FOSCO Deputy General Director, Mr. Lê Phú Đức, Chairman of the FOSCO Trade Union, Mr. Nguyễn Tấn Đạt, Chairman of the Company Youth Union, and a number of Heads of Company Departments.
Mr. Darren Paine, Academic Director, welcomed guests and introduced the FOSCO School Ballet Club, who opened the show with the dance skills they have learned in the club. This was followed by a ‘journey’ to the 1920s and Grade 3’s interpretation of dance, the Charleston.
Each class had an opportunity to shine on stage. The acts included singing, dancing, acting and even a very special performance from the Hula Hoop Dance Club. The variety showed just how much depth of talent and enthusiasm there is in the students at FOSCO School. The concert was brought to a close with a thrilling special performance from the teachers, who danced, played instruments and sang live.
At the end of the concert, all the children were really excited to see Santa arrive. After greeting everyone, Santa gave a small gift to every student, before the school closed for the Winter break. Parents, students and everyone went home happy and excited.
