Annual Labor Conference 2018

At 8.00 a.m., 23rd March 2018, Service Company to Foreign Missions (FOSCO) opened its Annual Labor Conference 2018 at the Guest-House, No. 168 Hai Ba Trung Street, Da Kao Ward, Dist.1, Ho Chi Minh City. Attending the conference were Nguyen Van Minh, President of Trade Union of Enterprises for Social Welfare and Commerce Services of Ho Chi Minh City, and members of FOSCO’s Board of Directors such as: Inspector, General Director, Vice Directors, and together with 130 attendees who are laborers of FOSCO.
At the conference, FOSCO’s laborers voted the President and Secretary Committees to lead the conference, handle all the requisite procedures, and proceed with other sections of the conference.
A large number of key annual reports were presented and approved at the conference, some of them were: summarizing the business activities in 2017 and the way forward in 2018; adopting Labor Agreement 2017; Financial Statement 2017; ideas of laborers at the draft conferences from all of FOSCO’s relevant bodies; reports on adopting the Basic Principles of Democracy; and auditing the act of People’s Inspection Commission in 2017. At the conference, representatives for laborers of International School (FIS); Real Estate Enterprise; Staffing and Employment Service Center, all presented their innovations in order to improve business performance, raise revenue and benefits, as well as complete its political and diplomatic tasks assigned by the Vietnamese Communist Party, State and other relevant ministries. At the Q&A session, the President Committee answered all the questions made by all FOSCO’s laborers, and recognized its shortcomings.  “The Annual Labor Conference 2018” was considered a good opportunity for FOSCO’s laborers to raise their voice, to demand, to protect, and to monitor all the matters that directly affect to their rights, benefits, and responsibility. From these discussions, it is strongly believed that, step by step, the relationship between employee and employer shall be enhanced leading to a future of consolidated and sustainable development”.
At the conference, five excellent candidates, who were later known as members of “Dialogue Group 2018”, were selected to be the official representatives for FOSCO’s laborers. In addition, the conference witnessed the signing ceremony of the New Labor Agreement 2018 between FOSCO’s employee representative, General Director Nguyen Tương Minh, and representative of FOSCO, the President of Trade Union.
The Labor Conference 2018 came to close in a very friendly environment and was recognized as an extremely successful conference.
