On the morning of July 9, 2025, at the Renaissance Riverside Saigon Hotel, the Service Company to Foreign Missions (FOSCO) successfully organized a thematic seminar titled “Social Insurance, Personal Income Tax, and Labor Law – Key Updates for 2025.” The seminar aimed to assist diplomatic missions, international organizations, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and foreign representative offices in Vietnam in promptly updating their knowledge of new legal policies related to employees, thereby contributing to a transparent, law-abiding, and sustainable working environment.
The event attracted more than 100 Vietnamese employees currently working at foreign organizations operating in Vietnam. The seminar was honored to welcome representatives from Social Insurance Region XXVII and the Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department, who directly shared information on new legal regulations for 2025 and provided clear and practical answers to participants’ questions.
In addition, the event was attended by representatives from the Service Department for Diplomatic Corps (SDDC), Ministry of Foreign Affairs; the Department of Foreign Security under the Ministry of Public Security; the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organizations; and the Center for International Cooperation and Foreign Affairs Services of Da Nang.
At the seminar, experts from the Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department, Social Insurance Region XXVII, and the Staffing and Employment Services Center (FES) – a unit under FOSCO – presented and analyzed key updates, including:
· New provisions in the 2024 Social Insurance Law and the Personal Income Tax Law effective in 2025;
· Guidance on handling specific cases involving Vietnamese employees working for foreign organizations in Vietnam;
· Important points in the Labor Law related to contracts, wages, and employee rights.
The Q&A session took place in an open and engaging atmosphere, with dozens of questions submitted before and during the event. Practical issues were addressed clearly, thoroughly, and in close alignment with actual conditions.
As part of the event, the Staffing and Employment Services Center (FES) also introduced its new brand identity logo, marking a new milestone in the professionalization of its services. The new logo symbolizes connection, support, and companionship for workers in an international environment, while reflecting the spirit of innovation and integration, and preserving the traditional values that FES has upheld since 1994.
The Service Company to Foreign Missions sincerely extends its gratitude to the speakers, distinguished guests, and employees from foreign organizations for their interest and participation in the seminar. FOSCO remains committed to serving as a trusted bridge between Vietnamese employees and foreign organizations, contributing to a sustainable, transparent, and fair working environment.
