(FOSCO) – On July 18, 2025, at the Center for Foreign Affairs and Languages Training (CEFALT), in order to support and assist Vietnamese staff members and consular officers working at consular agencies in updating their skills and enhancing their capacity for effective coordination with local authorities, the Service Company to Foreign Missions (FOSCO) collaborated with the Center for Foreign Affairs and Languages Training (CEFALT) – under the Department of Foreign Affairs of Ho Chi Minh City – to organize a specialized training course on “Consular and Reception Skills.”
This was an intensive course focusing on the distinctive aspects of reception and consular work, which require precision, a sound understanding of diplomatic principles, and practical knowledge of local administrative procedures.
Nearly 40 participants from over 15 representative offices, international organizations, and foreign affairs units in Ho Chi Minh City attended the training in an active, practical, and engaging atmosphere.
A highlight of the course was the interactive discussion focusing on real-world issues in consular and reception work, conducted by an experienced lecturer from the Department of Foreign Affairs of Ho Chi Minh City, who has over 15 years of practical experience in the field. Many specific situations, new regulations, and emerging issues were thoroughly analyzed and clearly explained.
Participants expressed great satisfaction with the content and the lecturer’s teaching methods, and expressed their wish that FOSCO and CEFALT continue organizing more practical, specialized training courses in the future.
At the opening ceremony, a representative of the Organizing Committee (FOSCO) emphasized:
“This course not only helps equip participants with essential knowledge and skills but also provides an opportunity to strengthen connections, mutual understanding, and coordination among foreign affairs agencies in the city.”
The Organizing Committee sincerely thanks all participants for their enthusiastic engagement, and extends its appreciation to the lecturer from the Department of Foreign Affairs of Ho Chi Minh City for the valuable insights shared.
We look forward to seeing you again in our upcoming training programs.
