The 2017 reception for foreign agency representatives in Ho Chi Minh City

The Annual Reception for Foreign Agency Representatives in Ho Chi Minh City is organized by Service Company to Foreign Missions (FOSCO) every year on the occasion of welcoming new years. On the evening of the 12th of January 2017 FOSCO hosted “The 2017 Reception for Foreign Agency Representatives at New World Saigon Hotel. Present at the reception were Leaders coming from the Department of Foreign Affairs of Provinces, from the Service Department of Foreign Affairs - Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Representatives of Leaders from the HCMC Party’s Committee, from HCMC People’s Committee, from HCMC Department of Foreign Affairs, from different Departments, Bureaus, Offices in HCMC, Representatives of Leaders from Foreign Affairs Departments/ Bureaus/ Offices of 19 different Cities/ Provinces in the south of Vietnam from Binh Thuan to Ca Mau, Service Centre for Foreign Affairs of Da Nang, Representatives from different Consulate Generals, Consulates, International Organizations, Non-governmental Organizations, and Foreign Economic Representative Offices in HCMC.
At the reception, FOSCO had the honor to have the presence of Mr. Le Thanh Liem_ Member of the Standing Committee of HCMC Party’s Committee, First Vice Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee who attended and gave a speech. He emphasized that the year 2016 witnessed strong economic development of Viet Nam with more than 110 thousand newly established enterprises. Against this background, businesses, including FOSCO, will certainly enjoy benefits. Yet, the challenges are not negligible especially with regard to market competition and demands, etc. I believe that given the competence, the tireless efforts by FOSCO, complemented by its rich experience in undertaking the dual economic and political tasks assigned by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, FOSCO will fulfill all the targets set for 2017 and continue to provide quality services, meet the demands of foreign communities in town. For our part, Ho Chi Minh City leaders are committed to facilitating FOSCO’s operation in the interests of its clients and the development of FOSCO and the City at large.
In 2016, FOSCO successfully accomplished the action plans on signing agreement to cooperate with key governmental bodies in 19 southern provinces or cities from Binh Thuan to Ca Mau, including HCMC, to fulfill duties assigned by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and HCMC People’s Committee to manage Vietnamese employees working for foreign organizations or individuals in Vietnam.
 Especially, throughout last year, with the will to unite and work together as one, and to do their best, FOSCO Leaders and Staff were able to re-organize the company structure, renovate the infrastructure and technology, aiming to upgrade the services that FOSCO has been providing so that they can compete with the others in the highly competitive market, so that they meet the more demanding needs there are nowadays in the market. FOSCO also did some researches and invested in office building, opening itself to more directions of growing in the new era, the era of Vietnam’s integration into the world economy. FOSCO promises that, in 2017, we will continue to succeed and accomplish all of the missions assigned by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and HCMC People’s Committee, making FOSCO the top and most trustworthy service provider to Consulate Generals, Consulates, International Organizations, Non-governmental Organizations, and Economic Representatives Offices in HCMC and in 19 cities/ provinces in the south of Vietnam.
