FOSCO Attended the Reception for Foreign Agencies in HCMC Hosted by HCMC People’s Committee

    On the occasion of welcoming the Lunar New Year of The Rooster, on the evening of January 17, HCMC People’s Committee organized a Reception for Foreign Agencies in HCMC. Attending the event were Mr. Đinh La Thăng, Member of the Politburo, Secretary of HCMC Party’s Committee; many HCMC Leaders; many Leaders or representatives of Leaders from different Consulate Generals in HCMC, from foreign cultural/economic/trade organisations, international/non-governmental organisations, foreign business associations in HCMC, etc. From FOSCO, Deputy General Director Hồ Trọng Trí on behalf of the Company Leaders attended and offered flowers with congratulations.
    As sharing with the attendants many economic and social achievements throughout last year and the development goals for the future, Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee Nguyễn Thành Phong emphasized that the City’s external relations continued blooming with many lively  and diversed foreign affairs activities, organized actively, effectively, and comprehensively on many different fields such as political foreign affairs, economic, cultural foreign affairs and those that are for the Vietnamese living abroad. Year 2016 marked the effective and successful cooperation between HCMC and foreign partners, shown through many meetings at different levels and many signing ceremonies whose following actions were effectively implemented.
    Extending New Year’s wishes and thanks for the supports which are important for the development of HCMC last year, Mr. Nguyễn Thành Phong expressed the hope that Consulate Generals in HCMC, Representatives of different organisations, businesses will continue being the effective bridge between HCMC and other countries, continue giving supports for HCMC to successfully reach the newly-set goals, soon to become one among big economic, finance, trade, science-technology hubs in the South-East Asian area.
    Giving high appreciations for the economic achievements that HCMC has made throughout last year, Mr. Simon Van Den Burg, Consul General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to HCMC, Dean of the Consular Corps in HCMC, stated that HCMC is a typical example for success that came from the right economic development policies, thanks to understanding the market demand, listening to the opinions of the people and enterprises, having appropriate guiding policies based on the needs and the priority demands of the people. On behalf of the Consular Corps in HCMC, Mr. Simon Van Den Burg thanked the City Authorities and HCMC people who have always given supports for the Consular Corps and hoped to continue collaborating with the City Authorities, offering more supports for the City to develop evem further in the future.
