FOSCO welcomed The Cuban Insitute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP)

On the morning of November 15th, 2022, FOSCO welcomed the Cuban delegation led by Mr. Fernando Gonzalez Llort – Member of the National Assembly of Cuba, Chairman of The Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP), Hero of the Republic of Cuba to come and visit FOSCO. Attend the meeting, there was Madam Leima Freire Gonzalez, Director for North America of The Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP); Madam Ariadne Feo Labrada, Consul General of the Republic of Cuba, and a representative of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations.
From FOSCO at the meeting, there were Madam Le Thi Hong Hau, Secretary of FOSCO's Party Committee, Chairwoman of FOSCO Board of Members; Madam Le Thi Kim Chi, Deputy General Director; Mr. Ho Trong Tri, Deputy General Director, and representatives from affiliated units. Madam Le Thi Hong Hau greeted the delegation and expressed the sentiments of FOSCO leaders and employees to ICAP, especially those who had visited Cuba.
Mr. Fernando Gonzalez Llort thanked the Board of Directors of FOSCO for warmly welcoming the delegation on behalf of ICAP leaders. He invited FOSCO to send a delegation to Cuba in the near future and stated that he will be ready to support FOSCO according to the program, plan, and time frame requested by FOSCO, as well as acting as a bridge to the units that FOSCO proposed contacting.
Despite many difficulties in terms of distance and disease, Madam Leima Freire Gonzalez highly valued the FOSCO’s delegation visit to Cuba in 2022, and FOSCO remains fond of ICAP’s activities. She said that ICAP had sent invitations throughout Vietnam to organize a delegation to participate in volunteer work in Cuba on International Labor Day on May 1st, 2022.
In addition to Mr. Fernando Gonzalez Llort’s statement, Madam Ariadne Feo Labrada – Consul General of the Republic of Cuba is grateful for FOSCO’s enthusiastic support in all aspects, allowing the Consulate General to operate and function smoothly.
At the end of the meeting, the two sides exchanged gifts and took commemorative photos.
Since July 5th, 2017, Mr. Fernando Gonzalez Llort has been appointed as Chairman of The Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP). He received numerous national and international medals. The titles “Hero of the Republic of Cuba”, “Honorary Hero of the Republic of Cuba”, and “Order of Playa Girón” are among them. This is the second time Mr. Fernando Gonzalez Llort has visited and worked with FOSCO.
