FOSCO Attended the Annual Meeting with International Non-Governmental Organisations in HCMC

On the morning of the 26th of April 2017, the Annual Meeting with International Non-Governmental Organisations in HCMC was hosted by HUFO at the Friendship House. Attending the meeting were more than 200 guests coming from different departments and organisations in HCMC, those who work with INGOs in the provinces/cities in the south of Vietnam, many Vietnamese partners and especially about 100 INGOs working in HCMC.
From FOSCO was Mr. Hồ Trọng Trí, Deputy General Director and Member of the Group that is in charge of working with INGOs in HCMC.
At the meeting, FOSCO had the chance to make contacts with many INGOs, introduce to them the services that FOSCO is providing, explaining to them about FOSCO’s missions and responsibilities, as well as the laws and regulations relating to recruiting, managing employees. FOSCO is also in charge of reporting on the Vietnamese employees working for Consular Corps, International Organisations, NGOs, and Representative Offices as stated in Decree 75/2014/NĐ-CP by the Government, which has detailed regulations on executing the rules made by Ministry of Labour on recruiting, managing Vietnamese employees working for foreign organisations/ individuals in Vietnam issued on July 28, 2014. Such information was given out in booklets and forms to the attendants.
The meeting was also a good chance for INGOs to share with others the advantages and disadvantages they have experienced as they launched their projects in Vietnam, thus they can raise suggestions or requests to the authority representatives being there.
For this meeting, HCMC People’s Committee had considered and decided to give out Certificate of Compliments to 50 INGOs to show them the appreciation for their contribution to the development of the city in 2016.
After this meeting, FOSCO will continue giving supports to INGOs on employment procedure, step by step improve the quality of the services so that they can meet the high demands of INGOs in HCMC and in the provinces or cities in the south of Vietnam.
