The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Denmark visited HCMC

As invited by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Phạm Bình Minh, on the afternoon of October 12, The Misnister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Denmark Mr. Kristian Jensen came to visit HCMC.
On behalf of the HCMC Leaders, Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of HCMC Mr. Lê Thanh Liêm expressed high appreciation to the visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and emphasized that this would make even stronger the cooperationship between Denmark and Ho Chi Minh City.
As discussing about the potentials and challenges of HCMC on the way to develop, Mr. Lê Thanh Liêm said, HCMC has been making a lot of remarkable changes to become a smart city, a big economics and finance center of the region. Beside focusing on developing the economics, HCMC also takes actions on problems that come along like environmental problems, or climate changes, etc.

As talking about investment, Mr. Lê Thanh Liêm said: the City Leaders always welcome foreign investors to come in, among which are the Dannish investors, so that all together can develop the city sustainably, especially in areas that the Dannish are good at and the City is in need of.
As talking about the project “The Dannish House”, Mr. Lê Thanh Liêm said, the City Leaders are interested in it and are willing to support the Dannish investors to proceed the project, making this a remark in the good relationship between HCMC and Denmark, contributing to enhance the cooperationship in economics, trade, science and technology between the 2 countries.
Seeing its current position and that HCMC is a dynamic city, Mr. Kristian Jensen stated that: the fact that 2/3 of 130 Dannish businesses in Vietnam place their headquarters and invest in HCMC shows how potential and attractive it is to invest in HCMC. The Dannish investors are willing to invest in and share with HCMC the experience to develope a city sustainably, improving the environment and living conditions for the citizens.
Thanking the City Leaders for supporting and committing in the project “The Dannish House”, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mr. Kristian Jensen hopes that the Dannish House in HCMC will not only be a center for socializing, introducing about Dannish culture and economics, but also the start to show the effectiveness in the relationship between Denmark and Vietnam in general, between Denmark and HCMC in particular.
