FOSCO participated in the ASEAN - 50 Friendship Table-tennis Tournament

On the occasion  of celebrating the 50^th anniversary of ASEAN (August 8^th  1967 - August 8^th 2017), on the morning of August 5^th 2017, at Hoa Lư Stadium, D1 HCMC, FOSCO representatives participated in the ASEAN - 50 Friendship Table-tennis Tournament organized by HCMC Union of Friendship Organizations (HUFO) in collaboration with HCMC Department of Culture and Sports.
Giving a speech at the Opening Ceremony, HUFO Chairman Huỳnh Minh Thiện emphasized that the ASEAN - 50 Friendship Table-tennis Tournament is organized to celebrate friendships and partnerships; this is not only a sports event but also an opportunity for Consular officers and people who are working in the field of external relations in HCMC to meet and exchange their cultures; which contributes to tightening the good relationships between the members in ASEAN.
Taking part in this tournament were 60 table-tennis players who are officers or staff of different Consulates-General in HCMC including that of Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Laos, together with different organizations: HCMC Department of Foreign Affairs, Service Company to Foreign Missions (FOSCO), HCMC Committee of the Vietnamese Fatherland Front, HCMC Committee of the Overseas Vietnamese, University of Transport, Committee of the Vietnamese Fatherland Front of Ward 12- Tan Binh District. In this tournament, there were 5 different types of competitions: men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles and mixed doubles.
