Summer Break Volunteer Campaign 2018

On Saturday morning, August 14th 2018, at Tân Hòa Đông Apartment Building (number 78 Tân Hòa Đông Street, Ward 14, District 6, HCMC), FOSCO Youth Union and others under HCMC Youth Union of Business Sector collaborated with the Youth Union of District 6 to launch Summer Break Volunteer Campaign 2018.
With the slogan “Young people and workers volunteer and contribute with their expertise”, HCMC Youth Union of Business Sector has introduced different volunteer groups with specific tasks as following:
1.    Raising awareness of sorting trash at source;
2.    Raising awareness of fire safety;
3.    Handing gifts, textbooks, stationary to less-fortunate children of Tân Hòa Đông households;
4.    Fixing electrical wires at Tân Hoà Đông Apartment Building;
5.    Painting on sewer covers, raising awareness of environmental protection.
After years of actions, Summer Break Campaign has proven its important role and position as well as the Youth Union’s in contributing to develop economics and society; ensure social security & defence security; protect the environment; promote the modern city lifestyle. Also, there have been many volunteer activities to secure the sea and islands of our Homeland. At the same time, these activities were meant to make HCMC a better  place, a smart city with quality living environment, modern and friendly.
This time, FOSCO Youth Union collaborated with the Youth Union of City Urban Sewerage Company and Security members of Ward 14, District 6 to undertake the task that helps raise awareness of environmental protection through the action of painting the statement "Do not litter here" on sewer covers on Tân Hòa Đông street, the area near Phú Lâm roundabout to Phan Anh intersection, District 6.
