FOSCO showed deep appreciation to revolutionary heroes

On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of War Invalids & Martyrs’ Day (July 27th 1947 - July 27th 2017), FOSCO Leaders and staff participated in and organized many meaningful activities which expressed the beautiful tradition of the Vietnamese people “when drinking water, think of its source”, “being thankful and returning favours”. FOSCO visited and gave presents to the families whose members are war invalids or martyrs, made offerings of incense and flowers at the City Martyrs Cemetery and at Ho Chi Minh Square.
Early in the morning of the 27th of July 2017, FOSCO delegation led by Mr. Ngô Anh Tuấn - Secretary of FOSCO Party’s Committee, Chairman of FOSCO Board of Members and Mr. Nguyễn Tấn Đạt - Secretary of FOSCO Youth Union joined in the City delegation, with Leaders from the City Party’s Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front’s Committee in HCMC, led by Mr. Nguyễn Thiện Nhân, Politburo Commissioner, Secretary of HCMC Party’s Committee, and the Command of Military Region 7 (Ministry of Defense) led by Brigadier General Nguyễn Minh Hoàng - Deputy Commissar of Military Region 7. The leaders respectfully made offerings of incense and flowers at the City Martyrs Cemetery and the City Cemetery (Lạc Cảnh). In the solemn ambiance, everyone spent one minute of silence to commemorate the War Martyrs, the Revolutionary Heroes, those who sacrificed themselves for the country’s freedom, liberation and unification. They  came to each and every grave and put an incense there to the former comrades.
At 11.30am of the same day, another FOSCO delegation, led by Mr. Hồ Trọng Trí, Deputy General Director, with nearly 20 employees visited Ho Chi Minh Square. Under the summer sun, everyone earnestly showed their deep gratitude to the beloved Uncle Ho, who selflessly and bravely fought for the country, for the people, for the revolution of peoples, of classes and of human beings.
In the late afternoon of the same day, FOSCO Trade Union organized a warm gathering for the FOSCO families, the member of which are war invalids or martyrs. Attending the gathering were FOSCO Party’s Committee, Board of Members, Board of General Directors, Trade Union Executive Board and 8 families.
War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day, July 27th, is an annual national date to commemorate the deceased soldiers, who fought bravely in the wars. Through this date, the young generations are taught to always remember and be thankful to the revolutionary heroes.
