FOSCO’s representative attend the "Meeting with the I.N.G.O 2023" held by the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organizations and the City Foreign NGO Working Group

FOSCO is an agency performing political tasks set by the ministry of foreign affair according to Decision 368/QĐ-BNG-QTTV of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs dated November 18, 2022 on approving the results of contractor selection for the bidding package: Implement the task of managing Vietnamese employees working for foreign organizations and individuals in 2022 in the Southern region of Vietnam”. The decision is based on the Government's Decree No. 152/2020/NĐ-CP, dated December 30, 2020, on rules for foreign employees working in Vietnam and recruitment and management of Vietnamese employees working for foreign businesses and individuals in Vietnam.
On February 24, 2023, FOSCO’s representative spoke at the "Meeting with the INGO 2023” held by the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organizations and the City Foreign NGO Working Group. The presentation focuses on introducing and presenting the recruitment and management of Vietnamese employees working for foreign NGOs.
The annual meeting is an opportunity for foreign NGOs and Vietnamese partners to meet and exchange information on the city's advantages, difficulties, challenges and aid mobilization needs; summarize and evaluate the operation situation and recognize the positive contributions of NGOs organizations to the socio-economic development of Ho Chi Minh City.
Representatives of NGOs, advocacy units and beneficiaries together with the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organizations, the Ho Chi Minh City Foreign NGO Working Group also exchange idea, and propose to remove many obstacles related to the receipt and distribution of aid sources; organizing processes, licensing and many issues related to the implementation of aid, social and charitable activities in the city.
On this occasion, the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City awarded certificates of merit to 5 organizations; Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organizations awarded Certificates of Merit to 10 organizations with achievements in social activities in Ho Chi Minh City in the period 2017-2022./.
