FOSCO Participates in “Knowledge on Diplomacy Competition 2018”

On the occasion of the 73^rd anniversary of the founding of the diplomatic corps of Vietnam (28/8/1945 - 28/8/2018) on 24^th August, the Foreign Affairs Department of Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) held Knowledge on Diplomacy 2018, a competition,  with the theme "Vietnam in a Developmental and Prosperous ASEAN". This is a contest for cadres, civil servants and officials of the External Affairs of provinces in the South.
Attending the Opening Ceremony of the competition were Mr. Bui Thanh Son, Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam; Mr. Vu Ho, Director General of the ASEAN Department; Mr. Tran Thanh Hai, Deputy Director, Institute of Strategy, Diplomatic Academy; and Mr. Le Quang Long, Director of Ho Chi Minh City Foreign Affairs Department, together with over 40 leaders of southern provinces and cities, and members of staff and employees of Ho Chi Minh City External Relations Department who participated in the competition and cheered at the contest.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Bui Thanh Son highly appreciated the theme of this year's competition. He believed that the contest will continue to be a useful forum for knowledge exchange, is a bridge that links the cadres who work in foreign affairs in the South, contribute to the development of local affairs in particular and the diplomatic sector in Vietnam in general. He affirmed that ASEAN is a top priority in multilateral foreign policy and that Vietnam is always a responsible member who maintains solidarity and unity in order to enhance the country's position in the international arena.
The first diplomatic knowledge contest was held in 2003 and has become one of the traditional activities of the Department of Foreign Affairs HCMC. This year, the competition was organized under the theme "Vietnam in a Developmental and Prosperous ASEAN ". There were 13 teams from Tien Giang, Tay Ninh, Kien Giang, Khanh Hoa, Dong Thap, Da Nang, Binh Phuoc, Binh Duong, An Giang, Can Tho, Ca Mau, Ho Chi Minh City in which Department of Foreign Affairs and FOSCO Company were the representatives.
FOSCO team has identified this year's competition as a rare opportunity to learn more useful knowledge about history, foreign affairs, and the opportunity to experience the real world, learn from the teams that come from many units in the diplomatic field. FOSCO team left a good impression in the event with a friendly, witty introduction and exciting "Dance of Peace" performance.
