FOSCO International School (FIS) school year 2017-2018 opening ceremony

FOSCO International School (FIS) successfully held the Opening Ceremony for the new school year 2017-2018 on Monday, the 14^th of August, 2017. FIS is one of the services of FOSCO, Service Company to Foreign Missions.
FOSCO International School's staff, teachers, parents and students had the honor to welcome Ms. Huỳnh Thị Tuyết Nhung – Deputy General Director of FOSCO.
The ceremony was filled with fun, happy faces and warm hearts.  There were lots of exciting activities for students of all ages to join so that new ones can quickly get to know each other and old students to feel the high spirit of going “back-to-school” like 3D Twister, Motor Skills/ physical Challenge, Robotics, Shaping Balloons, Word Search, Bean Bag Throw, Basketball Bounce, The-First-Day Photo Booth, , etc….
After those warm-up activities, students were introduced to their new Lead Teacher and Assistant Teacher(s) through a creative activity that could show the different class-theme names and the different clapping patterns of each class, making everyone involved and engaged.
The final touch was meaningful as all of the Lead Teachers presented a roleplay entitled "The Stone Soup". The message of the skit was to remind everyone that by working together and with everyone contributing what they can, a greater good is achieved. It also taught the kids to bring and share what they got: skills, talents, and a generous heart. Finally, they were encouraged that cooperation from everyone is needed to be successful in working out a goal. This is also the message from the school Managers to all the students.
To wrap up the Ceremony, Ms. Hà Thị Lệ Khanh- School Principal expressed her wish of good health  and successful achievement of goals in the new school year.
