FOSCO conveys congratulations to Cuba’s 60th Liberation Day

On the morning of January 17^th Mr. Hồ Trọng Trí, Member of the Standing Board of FOSCO Communist Party & FOSCO Deputy General Director, attended and gave congratulations flowers to the 60th anniversary of Cuban National Day Celebration (1959-2019) at the City Theatre.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Phạm Đức Hải - Vice Chairman of HCMC People’s Council emphasized that the success of the Cuban Revolution 60 years ago was a strong source of encouragement to many nations who were struggling for their independence and freedom. The good friendship between the two countries over the time has been strongly tightened. In 2018 there were many high-level delegation exchanges, proving the loyal and sustainable relationship between the two nations. HCMC certainly has shown its important role in the partnership between the two countries as it’s always accompanying the country to enhance the cooperation between the two sides.
Currently, trade and investment cooperation between Ho Chi Minh City and Cuba has remained modest, but in the future, with further reform in Cuba’s economic policy, businesses of both nations will be able to strengthen coordination in many areas, such as healthcare, pharmaceuticals, consumer goods, infrastructure development, and tourism. "HCMC would like to send to its brother country Cuba  the following message: HCM citizens have been and will continue accompanying the Cuban people, step by step on the path of reconstruction and development. In the role as the center of the whole country, HCMC always consider one of its priorities is to take care and grow the loyal friendship between Vietnam and Cuba, with the sense of responsibility love from its heart".
Madam Indira Lopez Arguelles, Cuban Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City recalled the Cuban revolution 60 years ago which gave hope for a better world and more meaninful for mankind. After 60 years, despite suffering from embargoes and isolation, Cuba has seen deep and wide expansion in its diplomatic relations with other countries. Many Cuban generations have been proud to develop and enthusiastically take part in keeping the appreciation and admiration for Vietnam.
FOSCO and the Consulate General of Cuba has a long traditional relationship which is growing stronger and stronger.  The headquarter of Cuban Consulate General is now located at 45 Phùng Khắc Khoan street, District 1 which is one of the houses FOSCO is managing and lending following the Reciprocal Pact between the two countries.
In 2018, FOSCO was honored to have welcome a delegation of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) to come visit led by the Cuban Hero Comrade Fernando Gonzalez Llort, Chairman, who then invited FOSCO to send a delegation to visit Cuba and take part in the 13th May Day International Brigade in Cuba. The trip left many good impressions to the delegates, seeing how sincere the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) is, how peaceful and hospitable the country Cuba is, and how friendly the Cuban people are.
