Earth Day

Earth Day is an annual event celebrated on April 22.  Worldwide, various events are held to demonstrate support for environmental protection.  First celebrated in 1970, Earth Day now includes events in more than 193 countries!
In solidarity with our global partners, FOSCO International School held its own Earth Day event.  Many students and staff wore the color green in the spirit of this event.  Our event consisted of Earth Day jokes; Grade 5 skit; and a game of ‘Save the Water’ where we had students of all ages participate.  We finalized the event with an Earth Day quiz for our primary school students to check their knowledge and understanding about the world around them.
In sum, this was a great event!  Students had a great time all while thinking critically about the environmental issues that we currently face.  We are proud to be the home of many growing environmentalists here at FOSCO International School!
